Doughnut Day ~ June

In the United States and some other countries, National Doughnut Day is celebrated each year on the first Friday of June. The day has an interesting history and provides the perfect excuse to learn about doughnuts, make your own creations, and share them with friends.

Who doesn’t love a doughnut? Whether they’re baked, fried, filled with jam, or covered in colourful icing and sprinkles, doughnuts have become one of the world’s favourite sweet treats.

The Doughnut Challenge badge celebrates this fun food while encouraging creativity, teamwork, and learning. It’s a light-hearted activity that can easily be adapted for youth groups, school holiday programs, camps, or family activities.

The activities are designed to be flexible and inclusive. Participants can complete a variety of activities related to doughnuts, cooking, creativity, teamwork, and even a little history.
