May 8 is a date that many Australian’s refer to informally as “Mates Day”. It has even been suggested as a better date to celebrate the greatness of Australia, in preference to the current Australia Day that does not have the same meaning to all Australians.

May 8 is a great opportunity to focus on friendship and being a good mate.
